Functional Dry needling
Functional dry needling is a form of therapy in which fine needles are inserted into myofascial trigger points (painful knots in muscles), tendons, ligaments, or near nerves in order to stimulate a healing response in painful musculoskeletal conditions.
This innovative therapeutic method is a modern, evidenced based treatment method which provides relief for individuals suffering from a variety of conditions. By directly targeting trigger points and other affected areas, dry needling aims to bring about a positive change in pain levels and overall musculoskeletal function. Functional dry needling is usually used in combination with other treatment approaches for the best therapeutic outcome.
It is important to note that dry needling should always be performed by a qualified practitioner who has received appropriate training in this technique. At Better Together Physical Therapy, we are well-versed in the application of dry needling.
If you are experiencing musculoskeletal pain or dysfunction, consider trying dry needling as part of your treatment plan. Contact us today to schedule a consultation and take the first step towards a pain-free future.
